The soldiers inside Camp Crame trust the strength of People Power protecting them.
So the key figures come out into the street to proclaim their cause and to thank the people.
The people shout their names: "Johnny! Johnny!" & "Fidel! Fidel!"

This picture was taken right in front of Camp Crame.
They are standing on a platform and are talking to the crowdon EDSA.

Juan Ponce Enrile (the Defense Minister of Marcos' parliament
who is the first to break his allegiance to Marcos)
is the man with the towel around his neck waving.

Col. Gregorio (Gringo) Honasan, (another key officer in the New Armed Forces)
is kneeling in front of him, alert for any signs of danger in the crowd. News Link.

Fidel Ramos (a general of the Army, graduate of West Point in the U.S. ,
and unbeknownst to him, the future President of the Philippines)
is the man with glasses, mostly hidden behind the loud speaker, waving his hand.

When we were at EDSA Highway, in front of Camp Crame it was already very crowded.

We found a little empty spot and stood there. Everyone was quite excited. We were not jumping up and down and screaming but you could feel it everywhere. Though every now and then we did yell "Laban!" over and over again and made the L sign in the air. Sometimes we shouted out "Cory!" in the same way.

At one point a group of people started praying the rosary and many people joined in. It was as if we were in the Cathedral but instead we were on the street praying and at the same time keenly aware of the soldiers of the opposing sides. More.

Then something really exciting happened. Enrile and Ramos preparing for Marcos' armed attack are transferring from Camp Aguiinaldo to Camp Crame. The crowd makes room for them to pass as a line of soldiers carrying weapons and ammunition run through the street to get to the other Camp. The people are cheering: "Laban!" , "Cory!"

When they get to the other side, it gets quiter again. But, people start shouting their names "Johnny! Johnny!" , "Fidel! Fidel!" . Later on, they come back out and talk to us and we cheer them on more. Everyone is shouting out in chorus all our causes for freedom.
